Aside from sipping hot chocolate and snuggling under cozy blankets, this time of year can be awful: the cold temperatures, lack of 5pm sunlight, the inability to go anywhere without layer upon layer, the seasonal blues. Plus, winter can be tough on our skin and muscles (fuck dry skin, chapped lips, and sore shoulders!).
To help us get a little more warmth, relaxation, and zen this winter, some New Jersey spas are teaming up to make their much-needed treatments a little more accessible. On Monday, January 24, the second annual New Jersey Spa Week returns, offering discounted rates on select massage, facial, and beauty treatments at participating spas and salons from Cape May to Ridgewood.
Spa Week, which debuted last January, was founded by Salt Spa at The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor to support other local spas and salons at a time when the industry had been hit hard by the pandemic. Spa Director Justin Mills says the initiative aims not only to connect the local spa community with new and existing clients across the region, but also to introduce clients to cutting-edge techniques in skincare, wellness and relaxation through dedicated offerings. The week comes at a good time, Mills adds, as “the dry, cold air and the aftermath of vacation stress” make “winter one of the worst times of year for spa treatments.”
New Jersey Spa Week takes place from January 24th to 31st. Below is a list of all participating spas and salons. Here you will find details on specific offers and can book a service.
