The Colorado Secretary of State’s Workplace stated on Monday that its officers are investigating whether or not Garfield County Sheriff Lou Vallario broke campaign-finance legal guidelines through the use of his workplace’s public assets to assist U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert.

In a letter obtained by The Denver Submit, a authorized analyst with the Secretary of State’s Workplace confirmed that that they had obtained an official grievance about Vallario and located “potential violations of Colorado marketing campaign finance legal guidelines.” The workplace gave Vallario 10 enterprise days to reply to the allegations.

A consultant for the Secretary of State’s Workplace declined to remark, and a consultant for Vallario didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.

David Wheeler filed the grievance towards Vallario in late August. Wheeler is the head of American Muckrakers, a political-action committee making an attempt to unseat Boebert. He accused the sheriff of utilizing his official place and e-mail account urging voters to assist Boebert and disparaging her Republican main opponent.
