Freezing rain can make a freezing start to Sunday in New Jersey

Freezing rain across the region could contribute to icy conditions on the roads on Sunday morning until mid-afternoon.

A winter weather warning is in effect for Counties of Sussex and Warren from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In the afternoon, temperatures should rise to almost 40 degrees.

They will drop below freezing during an Arctic front on Tuesday. Wind chills sometimes feel in the single digits.

TODAY: rain and freezing rain. Temperatures are slowly rising above freezing, causing frozen areas to melt in the late afternoon. Highs around 40

TODAY: The rain is stopping, the temperatures are dropping rapidly. ICY SPOTS for the ride on Monday morning. Lows in mid-20s.

MONDAY: Sunny, airy and cold. Highs below 30. Low numbers between 5-11 through Tuesday morning.

TUESDAY: bitterly cold and sunny. Highs around 20.

WEDNESDAY: Sunny and cool. Heights around freezing point.

THURSDAY: Partly sunny and milder. Highs around 40.

FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, seasonal upper 30’s.
