Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will be the opening speaker for the 2022 NGA Show, scheduled from February 27 to March 1 at the Caesars Forum Convention Center in Las Vegas. The keynote speaker is sponsored by The Kraft Heinz Company.

The NGA Show, presented by the National Grocers Association, is the industry’s largest gathering of independent retailers, wholesalers, food retail executives, food / CPG manufacturers and service providers offering unprecedented opportunities for learning, engagement, sharing, networking and innovation.

The 55th Governor of New Jersey from 2010 to 2018 and former US Attorney for the New Jersey District, Christie is a senior legal and political commentator for ABC News, an executive member of the law firm Christie and Christie 55 Solutions LLC, and author of Let Me Finish and Republican Rescue: Saving the Party from Truth Deniers, Conspiracy Theorists, and the Dangerous Politics of Joe Biden.

Christie (left) spent both of his terms emphasizing financial responsibility; Pension, health and education reform; and the opioid crisis that grips New Jersey and the nation. He also sketched the state’s pioneering response to Superstorm Sandy, spearheading rebuilding of the state’s housing, infrastructure, and public schools, and setting a bipartisan example of storm recovery.

“With his charisma and openness, Governor Christie will give NGA Show attendees a deep understanding of what is happening in the country’s capital and what it means for our industry,” said Greg Ferrara, President and CEO of NGA. “He stressed that achievable solutions and unyielding leadership will move us forward and help resolve the most pressing problems in Washington. Thanks again to Kraft Heinz for the continuous support of the NGA Show and the keynote speaker. “

In addition to the keynote speech, NGA Show attendees will have the opportunity to take part in more than 40 workshops and sessions designed to bring independent retailers up to date with the latest trends and best practices in grocery retailing and strategies to increase profits and increase the bottom line. More than 300 exhibitors from different product categories will also be on site to inform dealers about innovations, solutions and new products in order to increase customer satisfaction.
