Following the unexpected death of popular actor Bob Saget, best known for his roles in Full House and Fuller House, his co-stars and co-stars took to social media on January 9 to pay tribute.
Saget was found dead in his hotel room on January 9, while touring Florida. He was 65 years old. “This morning MPs were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes to make a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office tweeted. “The man was identified as Robert Saget and pronounced dead at the scene. In this case, the detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use. “
Saget was born in Philadelphia on May 17, 1956. He had his big break in Hollywood when he was cast as Danny Tanner, a recently widowed father of three, in 1987 on the popular sitcom Full House, which ran until 1995. He also hosted America’s Funniest Home Videos from 1989 to 1997.
He continued with minor roles in the industry, but returned to the spotlight with the role of narrator on the popular sitcom How I Met Your Mother, which ran from 2005 to 2014. In 2016, Saget repeated his role as Danny Tanner in the reboot of Fuller House, which ran through 2020.
Saget was married twice – he married his first wife, Sherri Kramer. They married in 1982 but separated in 1997 after 15 years of marriage. During their marriage, they welcomed three children together: Aubrey Saget, Lara Saget, and Jennifer Saget. Saget moved on and married his second wife, Kelly Rizzo, in 2018 after a three-year relationship.
While Saget had a long and successful career in show business, he often raved about his favorite role of fathering his three daughters.
“The greatest thing in my life is my daughters,” the 2009 America’s Funniest Home Videos star told Parade. “I adore her! If everything in my life is raised to the level of how great it is, then that would be a great thing that I would have achieved. “
At the time of his death, Saget was on a stand-up comedy tour of the United States. Hours before he stopped responding, he tweeted, “Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for opening it. Little did I know I was doing it [two-hour] set tonight. I’m happily addicted to this s — t again. “
