The energized second line that has breathed life into the Bruins’ recent turnaround will be missing its center.

Erik Haula, one of the few Bruins, who hadn’t done a stint in NHL COVID-19 protocol before, is headed for the sideline prior to Sunday’s game with Dallas.

The timing is a little fortunate for Boston, which has a six-day break following Tuesday’s home game against the Seattle Kraken.

The Boston recalled forward Steven Fogarty from the team’s taxi squad. The 28-year-old journeyman has eight goals and 15 assists for Providence this season. He’ll likely fill a bottom-six role against the Stars with either Charlie Coyle or Tomas Nosek moving up between David Pastrnak and Taylor Hall.
