Adele delays stay in Las Vegas | entertainment

Adele has postponed her stay in Las Vegas.

The 33-year-old singer cried as she announced on Thursday (01/20/22) that COVID-19 cases in her crew have forced her to postpone the start of her much-anticipated concert series at the world-famous Caesars Palace Hotel.

Adele admitted she was “burned out” at not being able to go on stage on Friday night (21/01/22) and was “embarrassed” by the delay.

She said in a video shared on her social media channels: “I’m so sorry but my show isn’t done yet.

“We’ve tried absolutely everything to get it together in time and for it to be good enough for you, but we’ve been absolutely devastated by delivery delays and Covid. Half of my crew and my team are [ill] with Covid and still are and it was impossible to finish the show.

“I’m disappointed – sorry it’s so last minute, we’ve been up for over 30 hours trying to figure it out and we’re running out of time. I am so upset and really embarrassed and so sorry to everyone who traveled to get [to the show]. I’m really sorry.”

The ‘Can I Get It’ singer has vowed to postpone the canceled shows.

She added: “We’re going to reschedule all the dates, we’re in the process of doing this, and I’m going to finish my show and get it where it’s supposed to be. We’ve got so much to do and it’s just not done yet. I’m really sorry.”

The Weekends With Adele residency was announced in November.

The ‘Easy On Me’ hitmaker was scheduled to perform two shows every weekend at the venue through April 16, 2022, a 12-week run.

It is not yet known what the new start date for the concert series will be.
