15 times celebrities predicted their fame

If 2021 was the year we learned to take better care of ourselves—even the little things—then 2022 is the year we are ready to give it all and make our dreams come true. To kick off the new year with much-needed inspiration, on January 19, Twitter launched a thread sharing tweets from celebrities who predicted their fame and success before it came true. “If you can dream it, tweet it,” Twitter captioned a photo of Megan Thee Stallion overlaid with a tweet the singer posted on May 27, 2014. “I need a team because I promise rap will take off for me,” Megan wrote over six years before the release of her 2020 album, Good news.

But Megan isn’t the only celebrity with a bright future in mind. “One day I’ll be nominated for an Oscar. hair love Director Matthew A. Cherry wrote in a tweet on June 2, 2012. Almost 10 years later, on January 15, 2022, Matthew wrote, “Literally unreal. Manifest your dreams! It doesn’t cost you anything and you never know, one day it might come true,” referring to his 2020 Oscar for Best Animated Short Film.

Between tweets from Lil Nas X, Issa Rae, Demi Lovato, Megan Thee Stallion and more, there’s something to be said for the power of hope and determination. See here which celebrities had the foresight to predict their fame.
